Memorial Day Weekend - Taste of Creede/Arts Festival
Local artists and chefs meet in the street to demonstrate their abilities! Enjoy the Silver Chef cooking competition, tasting favorites from area restaurants and vendors, live music, vendor booths, and tours of Creede Repertory Theatre.
Memorial Day Weekend – Small Prints Show Opens
The National Small Print Show opens at the Creede Repertory Theatre and is sponsored by Creede Arts Council. This juried exhibition contains over 100 small prints from fine artists across the country. Whether you’re looking to collect or just appreciate, come celebrate this miniature medium. Show closes end of June.
Fourth of July Events
More than 15,000 people come to town to enjoy the parade down Main Street, the mining events championships, the street vendors and festival. End the day with a spectacular show of fireworks launched from the cliffs over town!
Mid-July - Annual Woodcarvers Rendezvous
Woodcarving geniuses show off their talents at the annual show held at the Community Center. Woodcarving classes are available.
First Weekend in August - Annual Creede Rock and Mineral Show
Over 1500 rock enthusiasts are expected to once again “circle the wagons” at the Creede Underground Mining Museum and Community Center. Over 30 dealers will be showing mineral specimens, fossils, jewelry, gold nuggets, beads, tools and artifacts. Educational displays and evening lectures fill the weekend with geological bliss! www.creederocks.com
Labor Day Weekend: Salsa Fiesta, Balloon Festival, Gravity Derby, ATV Rodeo
The Salsa Fiesta is a dedication to everything peppery and hot. Enjoy sampling local businesses homemade salsas and vote for your favorite! Live music and vendors fill the streets. The first annual Balloon Festival took place in 2011 and was a big hit! And for the creative and brave, Creede hosts a gravity derby race competition and an ATV Rodeo! It's a big weekend in Creede!

Run or walk courses of 2, 12 or 22 miles through the mountains above Creede.
Mid September - “Crusin’ the Canyon” Fall Colors Car Show
Creede’s Main Street is filled with a kaleidoscope of vintage vehicles. The public is invited to come and admire the intricate restoration and custom work that has been done, and to vote on their favorite car, truck, or motorcycle!
